Bogotá’s Ciclovía and its extensive bikeway system have become a global model, serving as catalysts to improve public spaces and transport systems in developing and developed cities. Medellín is known internationally as a urban success story, which used public transport and placemaking to create a safer, more livable city. In this study tour, you will experience the bicycle and transit systems firsthand and meet with system managers, agency executives, political leaders, intellectuals, activists, and bike shop owners.
